Who can take part

The AP Foundation is for young people - ex-offenders and returning citizens living in England or Wales.

We want our network to have lots of different people in it from all kinds of backgrounds. If you need help with specific skills, we’ll help you feel comfortable and ready to take part.

If you’re under 16, your parent or guardian will need to give their consent for you to join.

What advice and training am I entitled to

We can provide information, hands on advice, and guidance for new and established resources available to you. You'll receive direct access to a designated AP Foundation contacts who can advise and give guidance on training, reform, employment, planning, and immigration, and give access to invaluable information like career paths and funding opportunities.

Do you help with recruitment

We can provide advice on safer volunteer and staff recruitment and help with accross various industries

Is what I say confidential?

We'll keep what you say confidential, unless we're worried about your or someone else’s safety.

If this happens, we may need to talk to your parent or guardian to make sure you get any support you need. We'll always try and talk to you about this first.

Does it cost money to take part in the training programmes?

No, it won't cost you any money. It's free to join. And if you take part in any events or opportunities, we'll pay for your costs - like food or travel.
