Life Begins At Fifty
Course Details
Helping aging residents and mature ex-offenders build a better future. Older prisoners are now the fastest-growing subgroup of prisoners in England and Wales. As of June 2019, there were 13,609 prisoners, or 17% of the prison population aged 50 and over.
The career criminal, committing a crime is simply a way of life. Many of the most serious criminals have been offending for very long periods of time, usually their whole life. This bespoke course focuses on this group and deals with the very specific issues such as lifestyles and mindsets that these individuals must overcome, in order to participate in society in a legitimate and healthy way.
Course Suitability - Who Should Attend?
Life Begins At Fifty course is open to ageing offenders that are incarcerated that want to make a positive change and give back to society. :
- Prisioners over the age of 25
- Adult ex-offenders
- People in families affected by crime
The content of the programme requires no skills or qualifications to participate.
